Celebrating Weaknesses

I can feel it...

a lesson...

a thought...

a revelation...being formed  in the back of my mind, in the resesess of my heart all about my weaknesses.
It's time for me to come face to face with them,
be okay with them,
welcome them and,
celebrate them.

Why? Because His power is made perfect in me, in my weaknesses. It's like Paul was admiting,
Yes, I'm week but it's not about my weeknesses its about his grace and his power in me and upon me.
and how that grace makes  me perfect and how his power resting on me helps me.
It's not about my weeknesses, its about His strength in me.



I'm gonna start celebrating my weaknesses!

...I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

In His Hands

I thought about this one song this morning and now its been playing through my mind all day...

He's Got The Whole World In His Hands, la la la la, He's got the whole world in His hands.

Luke 19:10

Earlier I meant to look up Luke 19:10 but accidentally looked up Luke 10:19. But when I read it it was exactly what God wanted me to read. The verse goes right along with what the youth pastor talked to the youth group about last night. Today I am imagining my name written in heaven and really realizing the authority I carry to tred upon the evil ones cunning and crafty ways because the spirits are subject to the Jesus in me.

Thoughts on God's Word

After last nights teaching on the the Word of God and reading a quote on fb this morning about the gospel I have been thinking....

I have a confession to make....I don't memorize scripture. As someone who has had to memorize the scripture all thru out my early school days just to earn a sticker on the chart or to get a good grade on my report card I am happy to just sit and read the Word of God for the pleasure of actually knowing Him.
To know Him is to know His ways. The great Pslamnist, David said Teach me your ways O Lord that I may walk in them. And we find His ways all thru out the Word of God.
I've come a long way since my have to memorize scripture days. Now I desire to know the ways of the Lord and I pray...

Teach me your ways, O Lord,
That I too may walk in them!

It's Christmas Time!

I have had an excitement for Christmas since before Thanksgiving. This year Christmas has brought with it an excitement and anticipation for the New Year!

So excited for whats to come!
All His glorious goodness wrapped up in One,
Jesus Christ who set the captive free,
opened my blind eyes so that I can see,
His wonderful exquisite love for me!

Can't wait to open the gifts, the heavenly Father lavishes on us during the most wonderful time of the year!!

Opportunities of growth

Since I been sick I have been away from people, places and things. In a weird way this sickness has launched me into a time of rest. No, sickness is not from God and in no way, shape or form is He the cause of my sickness But He takes everything the enemy means to keep us from advancing turning it all into good. And just when the enemy thinks he's won, and tries to get you to think it too by believing his lies of defeat, you find it wasn't at all what it seemed(It never is).
Thru it all I have grown and discovered thru the Holy Spirit some deeper roots of my soul that are currently being dug up and removed. I have come to love this process of reconciliation to my Father God. Don't get me wrong, it can still be very painful but after all is said and done I emerge free with more flight in my wings to fly higher!
So this sickness is not so much of a sickness to me anymore but instead an opportunity to advance in ways I would of never imagined.

I Heart Reading

So, I am still recovering from my alergy sickness, but all is good. I just realized last night that while I have been down(bout 3 weeks) I have read 4 whole books. Thats quite an accomplishment for this mom with 6 kids, 1 vehicle and a very messy house.:)
I read 2 fiction books and 2 books by Lisa Bevere. I love Lisa Bevere's writing. God has shown me alot thru her 2 books. All good, hard to swallow, life changing stuff. I will be getting another book by her just as soon as it comes back in the bookstore. Wouldn't ya know that all 4 book stores I checked were all out, I'm thinking the book must be that good!
I am on my 5th book now(going for world record here). This one is pretty thick but I seem to be reading it pretty fast. All of this has to do with a theme He has been speaking to me on...Insecurity!
